Hike and Haircut
This post is a week overdue, but I never got around to it this busy week. Last Friday when I took Seth to the pediatrician, Rich took Savannah for her first "hike," as he likes to call it. It was actually a nature walk, on a gravel travel at a state park. They walked 1.5 miles. She did great and loved it. It was a beautiful day and unfortunately Rich forgot there was a beach and a lake and did not bring her bathing suit and towel and of course she wanted to go in. They had a great time though and she is quite a little "hiker" now.
When Seth got his haircut, of course princess could not be left out, so she got hers cut too and her are some pictures of her bang trim at Rollarcoaster Cuts.
The other photos of Savannah at just some random things Rich caught on the iphone.
I cannot upload my photos from my camera because our XD card has a piece of plastic broken off and I can't get it to load into the computer. We are going to order the new camera today and we have to find the cord for the point and shoot to get the photos off.
Taking a rest on the bench from walking and shopping last weekend
We went out to dinner and when we came into the restaurant Seth was sleeping and Savannah said she wanted to sit in the booth with Seth. Like a responsible big sister, as soon as he woke up and started crying, she gave him his pacifier. We did not even tell her too. She just picked it up and put it in his mouth and held it for him.

The Boy Who LOVES His Food
Seth is the happiest baby on Earth since starting solid foods. He was so ready and needed the tastes, textures, calories, variety, etc. He just loves it and eats it all up (literally and figuaratively). He truly enjoys it and smiles as he eats. Even though it looks like mush to us, he acts like you are giving him the BEST thing in the world and he is so appreciative. He likes it all, peas being his least favorite and sweet potatoes being the top of the list. Bananas and apples are very yummy too. The funniest thing is he doesn't like to eat in the high chair or in a seat. He eats best in exersaucer or propped up on the boppy. This baby does not like to be strapped into anything and this was eating is not boring. You have things to do and look at.
Savannah has a new game--Hide and Seek, but we should really call it Hide and Peek. She pretends to close her eyes and she counts, but she is watching where you hide. But she pretends she didn't and looks in other places. She says, "Where are Mommy?" (we are missing either a you or she means is). Then she says, "Hmmmm, think, think, think. I know." Then she runs to you and laughs. After she finds you she says, "Hide and Seek Mommy Again!" We have to get it on video. It is quite adorable and funny.
Savannah continues to great with Seth and gives him toys and a pacifier (which he doesn't fancy any longer--would MUCH rather chew a burp cloth). She is going to love it when he is mobil and can play and interact even more.
Is that a face of a boy who loves his food or what?
I have food on my chin, but feed me more
Thank you and can I have some more please?
I am the happiest baby on the block
All happy and well fed
She is dancing to the music of the dance mat and she said, "No dance on Seth." How considerate.
She asks him questions and I know she really wants an answer. She waits a minute and then answers for him. She knows that, "Babies no talk. Just cry."
I am sure she is thinking lying here doing tummy time is boring, don't you want to get up and dance. I asked her the other day if she is looking forward to when Seth learns to walk and she said yes. Now she says, "Mommy hold Seth. Seth no walk."
