Seth's New Highchair & Kitty in the Bouncer

Eating at the table Tastes just as good
I've got a mouthfull
The high chair adjusts as he grows
Side view
Whole chair. It converts to a chair and can hold up to 150 lbs.
Showing his food--lovely
That's a smile
Chewing
Great Place for a cat nap
Pretty Kitty
Sacked out
I couldn't wait for Seth's birthday to "give" him his convertible high chair. So Rich put it together last night and we are putting it to good use. Seth ate breakfast in it and seemed to enjoy it a lot. It is very sleek and easy to get him in and out and he can sit at the table. No tray to remove or clean. I have to clean the table anyway so why not eat right on it. The best thing is that it is adjustable as he grows and then it converts to a chair that can hold up to 150 lbs.
Yuki is doing great and everyone loves him. Even Pumpkin. They are playing together. Here are a few of him sleeping in the cat's world's favorite bouncer.
It is bitterly cold today after the snow yesterday and very windy. It will hopefully be much nicer tomorrow when we go see our friends in NY and their new baby. It is January in New England, so what do I expect. Maybe this will be our last New England winter? Doubtful, but I am working on 2011!
I have planned the kid's birthday parties and then we will jet out to Puerto Rico 2 days later. Can't wait. How far away is it? Hopefully I can make it through another 6 weeks of winter before then. I am hoping for the groundhog not to see his shadow.

Sitting and Sharing

Savannah is pointing Both eating crackers
Watching and snacking together
Love this photo.
How cute they are together
They are watching a "movie" as Savannah says
She is explaining it to her brother
They are so into it
Life can't get better than this--crackers, water, Mickey Mouse and my sister
Beautiful Girl
Big Smile for her brother
Big boy on the couch
Savannah playing with Yuki
I just adore when Savannah and Seth play together or spend time with each other. It is the sweetest thing in the world and warms my heart. All I want is my kids to have a close and loving relationship. Yesterday Savannah was watching Mickey Mouse and eating crackers and I sat Seth on the couch and he had a cracker and water and they just sat together and ate and watched and laughed. It was adorable and I am glad I got a few pictures.
We got WAY more snow today than predicted and now the temperature is dropping. Yuck!

Puppet Shows and Watermelon

Now it is time for the big show with puppets and magic She can really do the puppets now
How cute!
She is singing and telling jokes
That is all for now, next show at 6:35 p.m.
Wow Watermelon
This is the world's best teether
Couldn't be any happier
Really digging in there
Got it! This is the best!
We have been having lots of fun here with creative play and finding ways to pass the winter days! Seth now has 6 teeth in and watermelon is the BEST teether ever. He loves it. Seth is starting to understand how to walk with a walker and can get just about everywhere he wants to go. I want to take him to a baby signing class and a music class.
Savannah is enjoying everything she does--school, swimming, art, music, etc. We took her to a children's art studio last Saturday and she loved painting. She is really progressing in swimming and we are so proud of her. We have been keeping really busy having playdates and trying to go interesting places since the weather isn't suitable for outside play.
We are all loving our little kitten--even Pumpkin is warming up to him.

Kids and Kitten

They were sharing goldfish on the mat and it was so cute Love these kids
1 for you and 1 for me
We love goldfish
It doesn't take long for a kitten to learn where the food is
Pretty kitty
Likes the fabric chair
Just like a child, won't look at the camera
He realized quickly that Savannah shares too. She always shared with Fudgie
We are having so much fun with our new kitty. He loves the kids and they adore him. You can tell he has been around lots of kids and people. He is a very people oriented and gentle kitten. We love him.
Everyone around here shares food--Seth feeds the kitten, Savannah feeds Seth, Savannah shares with Yuki. Yuki learned quickly that if you sit by the highchair food may fall. It was quite cute that Savannah and Seth were sharing goldfish. Is Seth officially a toddler--he likes goldfish and the Wiggles? No, we still have two months. Seth is doing great drinking formula from a training cup and we are going to start to mix formula and milk to get him used to the taste. Seth can now wave, blow kisses (kind of), express yes and no by shaking and nodding his head, and stack cups and blocks. This is such an exciting time in development.

Our Second Baby of the Year--Meet Yuki!

Our Beautiful Baby Boy Curious Kitten
Sneaking Around the Corner
Who Me?
Kneading and Purring
We are happy to annoucing a furry addition to our family. Meet Yuki--our darling grey and white striped tabby kitten. He was born on October 7th and joined our family on January 2oth. We were so missing a kitty in our house. Savannah adores him. Seth is intrigued by him. Mommy and Daddy think he is the cutest kitty ever. Pumpkin...not so sure. He is establishing who is boss. He misses having Fudgie, but did not know what he was getting into with a kitten. Yuki really wants to play with him, but Pumpkin is tentative. I know in a few weeks they will be buddies, because neither of them have ever lived without another cat around. We got Yuki from our vet and they said he always slept with Habro, the other cat at house where he was living. He is healthy, spunky, playful, and very people oriented. We are getting such a kick out of him.
His name means snow in Japanese. It fits him so perfectly. Now Rich can always be surrounded by snow, no matter what. It is an easy and unique name and we wanted something Japanese since he and Seth are going to grow up together. It just seemed right. We went through a lot of choices and then this was so fitting. He responded to it right away and we also live in UCONN territory here in CT.
We are so thrilled to have another furry child to love!

Amazing Baby Development

These taste delicious I can take this off
And put it on
And knock it over
And make it spin and play music
Playing with my new bead maze with my sister
I can do it
Wow
This is fun and look how serious I am about it
I can stand and play with my farm
Laughing at my farm that I made play music
I am crawling away and FAST
Trying to push up with my hands to stand
My gorgeous boy--drool and all--I am getting THREE teeth on the top
No matter how many kids I would have, I would still be amazed by their development. It is just incredible how fast they learn and that can't do something one day and then the next day they can. Just last night for the first time, Seth clapped after I clapped when he stacked two cups. Unfortunately, once I went to get the camera he was crying and the clapping and smiling were over. Just in the last two days since he turned 10 months, he can stack cups, he can clap, he can wave and when you say "no" he shakes his head no. He is also crawling VERY fast and can pull up on anything, anywhere. No steps though or standing on his own yet. Mommy is glad about that. I can wait a few more months.
Our friends Ben and Christopher came over for a play date the other day and we finally got to exchange holiday gifts. Seth got a stacking toy that twirls and plays music. After showing him one time, he could put the rings on and take them off and figured out how to get it to move and play music. He also got a bead maze which he loves (and so does Savannah). Savannah got Go Paint, which is the BEST thing you could EVER give Savannah and a puzzle with shapes and ladybug game. We have the best friends in the world! They spoil us!
We have decided to go to Puerto Rico in March for the 3 of our birthdays. 7 days of beach, sand, pool and sun. We are staying at the Embassy Suites in Dorado. We need a 2 room suite since Seth needs silence and to be by himself to sleep. I found a great deal and we can fly for free on miles. Rich wants to take Savannah skiing and three nights at a ski mountain in a 2 room suite is more expensive than a week hotel stay in Puerto Rico. As soon as I told Savannah we were going to the beach on an airplane she said, "I need a bathing suit. I am wearing a shirt." I told her not today, but for your birthday. She replied, "In March. March seventeen." So smart. I taught her that weeks ago and she remembers. We are also taking her to American Girl for her birthday in Boston before our flight. Her doll has been shipped and she is going to wear the matching dress. I think I am going to cry she is going to be so adorable.
