After our very exciting weekend with the dance recital, Savannah went back to school to start a rainy and cold May week.  It is 50 and rainy, stormy, grey, cloudy, and foggy.  The weather is awful.  Savannah had bring a friend day at dance today for her final class and next week is auditions for the play and the summer dance program will start in early July.

We are headed to Lake Placid for the 1/2 marathon from the 10-12 of June.  Savannah's last day of school is June 14th.  Her plans for the summer are dance and gymnastics.  We are going to Seasme Place for the 4th of July.  And just by chance 2 really good friends are going the same weekend and another I have not met before and we will be able to get together with some friends that live in PA.  Then in August we will fly to Tampa and board our cruise to sail out to the Western Caribbean.  

Lots to look forward to.  Hope we don't have a cool wet summer like 2009!

My Beautiful Dancer

I think Savannah may really have some talent in the field of dance.  No matter what she absolutely loves it and a whole different side of her came out on stage.  She loved performing and came off the stage and said, "That was fun!"  I am so proud of her and the joy that filled my heart and tears in my eyes watching her is amazing.  I never thought I would enjoy this so much, but I guess when you see your child so happy and doing something they worked so hard at your entire perspective changes.  This video and pictures are from the dress rehearsal.  We are not allowed to take video at the recital because they are selling DVD's and you can only take pictures without flash. So this is my little video and I love it.

Her recital was amazing.  She danced with poise and confidence and I was so proud of her.  She loves to dance and she did such a great job.

We had a glorious day--fianlly--in New England.  Sunny blue skies with a hint of a breeze and in the high 60's.  We decided to go to The Dinosaur Place and walk the trails, play on the playground and go through Monty's Maze.  The kids had a great time and it was just wonderful to be outside and see them have so much fun.
