Second Lost Tooth

This is where Seth takes his naps now and Savannah is sure to cover him and give him stuffed animals and a snack when he wakes up (all is fake but his drink cup).
Tooth Number 2 waiting for the tooth fairy's arrival
Ready to see the Smurfs movie, her new favorite is Smurfette
Two bottom teeth are permanent now
 So excited
Placing it very carefully in the tooth fairy box
 New smile
 Look at me
She checks for it over and over again
Ready to put it under my pillow

Savannah lost her second tooth on Sunday, July 30th.  She waited a long time (it was hanging by a thread) and then it popped out.  She was very excited and tucked it away for safe keeping.  The next day she awoke to a new green Pascal stuffed animal (since she lost hers) and $5 since she is five.  She is already asking if the the tooth fairy will give her $6 when she is six.  I have heard it does not go up with age.  Such a big girl.  Now the first two baby teeth she got are replaced with big girl teeth.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

 New Mets homefield, Citifield

 Welcome to Mets vs. Phillies

 First Major League Baseball Game
 Beautiful but hot summer day
 Approaching CitiField
Seth and Sheila ready to root on Daddy's Team
Daddy ready to enjoy his Father's Day present--an outing with his family seeing his favorite baseball team.
 Go Phillies for Daddy
 The BIG screen
Seth is already hot after 5 minutes
Almost ready to start the game
Seth pointing to the big apple
 We are on Daddy's Team
First son and Daddy bonding baseball game
First Family Major League Baseball Game
Add Papa because he is  huge baseball fan, but he is rooting for the Mets
All of us ready to enjoy the game
And the first pitch the Rollins and the rest is history.  Philles bring in a win for Daddy.

For Father's Day I surprised Rich with tickets to see the Mets play the Phillies.  I wanted Yankees vs. Phillies, but they were not playing in interleague play this season. I guess it was better that way because it was supposed to be a nice family day, not a competition.  So the only person rooting for the Mets was my Dad.  LOL.  This was the first major league baseball game for Rich and I in about 10 years and the very first for the kids.  Seth really enjoyed it and Savannah liked it by the end, but she enjoyed the ice cream much more.  It was very sunny in the beginning but we had great seats on the 3rd base line 10 rows back.  We could see great and when our seats moved into the shade in inning 6 and the action started in the 8th inning, we had a most delightful and pleasant time.  It was a great day and way to spend Father's Day (celebration).

Beach Days

 Sweetie at the beach
Some serious shade digging going on here.
Seth will dig until he reaches water
 Loving siblings
 Loves the beach
 Bathing Beauty
Climbed in the stroller on his own
 Chillin' Out
 Back to digging
 Getting some help from Savannah
It is fun to climb in and out and jump in the sand
 Relaxing
Walking through the maze of the dunes
Running and jumping in the sand
Perfect beach day.  See Seth still digging.
 Loves the dune maze too
Using the shells and rocks they found to make things in the sand
 Fun, lazy, beach day
 Now this is the best
 Cuties in the sand
Just glorious.  You don't get many of the blue sky days in New England
Mommy and Savannah taking a walk and searching for shells
 PARADISE
 Really working on their creation
 Both so serious
This is my new all time favorite photo of us

Hands down the one activity we all enjoy is the beach.  Each one of us loves it.  We can spend all day doing our own thing or things together.  Seth can dig and build forever.  He also enjoys the water.  Savannah can search for shells and rocks and then build a sandcastle and decorate it.  We can take a walk.  The kids can go on the merry go round over and over.  We can eat overlooking the ocean or have a picnic and then share ice cream.  Whatever we do on the beach we all love it, relax and feel content and peaceful.  We try to grab in as many beach days as possible and that is why our family vacation this year will be all on the beach in the Caribbean and Mexico.  Can't wait.
