A BIG Celebration for Daddy's Birthday--A Sail Away Party

For Rich's birthday this year we flew to Tampa and then boarded a cruise to sail for seven days to the exotic Western Caribbean.  Sail away and embarkation just happened to fall on August 14th.  So there was a big bash on the Carnival Legend in honor of Rich's 21st Birthday.  He even had a sail away drink in a souvenier glass to prove it!  We arrived to Tampa late and it took the shuttle awhile to come and get us, but we made it to the Mainsail Suites before the stroke of midnight and the kids drew on their cards and at midnight we gave Daddy cards and gifts and then the next morning had birthday breakfasts with waffles and omlettes and took the shuttle once again to board the Carnival Legend.  There were other surprises for Rich as we entered our room--decorations, sugar free chocolate cake, a fruit basket and chocolate covered strawberries and other delicacies. He was really surprised.  At dinner, the waiters brought his favorite chocolate brownies and sang to him in many different accents all with a candle for many happy wishes.  I hope some of them came true on our amazing vacation of excursions and incredible destinations.  Pictures below of his birthday and our time on the ship.

Second Lost Tooth

This is where Seth takes his naps now and Savannah is sure to cover him and give him stuffed animals and a snack when he wakes up (all is fake but his drink cup).
Tooth Number 2 waiting for the tooth fairy's arrival
Ready to see the Smurfs movie, her new favorite is Smurfette
Two bottom teeth are permanent now
 So excited
Placing it very carefully in the tooth fairy box

She checks for it over and over again
Ready to put it under my pillow

Savannah lost her second tooth on Sunday, July 30th.  She waited a long time (it was hanging by a thread) and then it popped out.  She was very excited and tucked it away for safe keeping.  The next day she awoke to a new green Pascal stuffed animal (since she lost hers) and $5 since she is five.  She is already asking if the the tooth fairy will give her $6 when she is six.  I have heard it does not go up with age.  Such a big girl.  Now the first two baby teeth she got are replaced with big girl teeth.

And the first pitch the Rollins and the rest is history.  Philles bring in a win for Daddy.

For Father's Day I surprised Rich with tickets to see the Mets play the Phillies.  I wanted Yankees vs. Phillies, but they were not playing in interleague play this season. I guess it was better that way because it was supposed to be a nice family day, not a competition.  So the only person rooting for the Mets was my Dad.  LOL.  This was the first major league baseball game for Rich and I in about 10 years and the very first for the kids.  Seth really enjoyed it and Savannah liked it by the end, but she enjoyed the ice cream much more.  It was very sunny in the beginning but we had great seats on the 3rd base line 10 rows back.  We could see great and when our seats moved into the shade in inning 6 and the action started in the 8th inning, we had a most delightful and pleasant time.  It was a great day and way to spend Father's Day (celebration).
