Nine is Mighty Fine

Just thought I would show off my standing, transfering and using my hands. Love my crawl to cruise jungle toy
Haircut cutie
Getting in some time on my 5 in 1 gym
Very mobile, into everything and super happy about it.
Seth had his 9 month well baby check this week and he is doing great. He won't go back for 3 months. He weighs in at 18 lbs and 8 1/2 oz. is 27 inches long and has a head is 18 cm. He did not gain as much weight as previous visits, but he is solid, growing and healthy. No vaccines this time around. He is developing right on track. He is into everything and goes everywhere. It is hard to keep him down. We now live in a gated community. I am not sure if it is for Seth or our sanity!
Rich is working most of the Christmas holiday and Papa is coming! Yeah! For New Year's we are going to Providence, RI for some Bright Night (they do fireworks over the water) and shopping (they have the BEST mall)! Looking forward to it and the New Year!

Snow Storm December 2009

All bundled up! I can barely move Thinks this is funny
Let's go
First sight of snow
Helping Daddy with the sled
I pull it
Jumping in the deep snow
It is deep on her
Ready for my sled
Posing
Patting the snow
Trying to walk in snow to my knees
Mitten prints
Time for Daddy's workout pulling Savannah on the sled up the driveway
Bye Mommy
And they are off--over the river and through the woods
Woke up to 12+ inches of snow this morning. It is white, powdery, fluffy--a winter wonderland. Lots of snow on our doorstep. We got Savannah ready to go play in the snow with Daddy and as we were dressing her, she said, "All done in the snow. I play Barbies with Mommy." That is my girl. She loved it once she got outside though. She is a princess and a snow bunny. It is very light and fluffy snow so she did not mind falling in it. She is very bundled up, so hopefully she won't be too cold. It has one from 17 degrees this morning up to a whopping 25 now. She is on her LL Bean wooden sled with Daddy and they are taking a walk and going down to the pond behind our house.
Seth is taking a nap, hopefully his long nap of the day. Maybe he will go out a bit later, if it isn't too cold. He has a little tobogan that we used to use for Savannah that he can be strapped into and pulled along.
Hopefully they will get the snow cleared and tomorrow will be passable. We are getting snow tires on our Subaru tomorrow. We already have them on the minivan.
In other news, we got our court date for Seth's finalization. It was supposed to be for December 29th, but our social worker has a conflict that day (of course, Murphy's Law). She is wonderful, but very busy (especially this time of year). So, now it is January 7th. I can't wait to have it signed, sealed, and delivered and he will be officially ours and a citizen of the United States (paperwork and state government wise, for us he was official after our embassy appointment in Japan). I am going to call the court on Monday and see if they can squeeze us in for the 30th, when our social worker is available to have it done in 2009, but with the holidays it is probably a long shot, but always worth it to ask.

A Bit of Everything With Lots of Photos

Crawling everywhere and FAST I can stand. This was one of Savannah's very favorite toys
Overjoyed about baseball
Seth the slugger
Ok, sometimes I eat the bat
Savannah is thrilled with her Puppy Alive Sleeping Cutie
How sweet
Awww--is she ready for a real puppy?
I knew she would like it, but she LOVES it
All bundled up and ready to go
It came with mittens too
Love this girl
She is making Seth laugh by making funny faces
So happy when I am standing
I can rotate, play, and transfer
Big smiles for the camera
I love Mickey Mouse too
Can't stop laughing
She can sit and do art all day sometimes
Baby Mum Mums
These are SO good
One for me, two for me
I don't know what is in Baby Mum Mums, but Seth LOVES them!
Ok, I have given up (for now) on posting Disney photos on Blogger. There is something about them that they just won't post. Everything else will. I have put them on Facebook and I will keep trying with Blogger. So for now, here is an update with lots of pictures since we have been home.
It has snowed twice, so I would like to turn around and go right back to Florida. Seth is getting around by cruising, crawling and coasting faster than ever. He is getting into everything and anything. You can't take your eye off him for a second. He is cuter than ever. This is a fun age.
Savannah is wonderful and has matured a lot over the past month. She is really a big helper and getting more independent everyday. She is a great big sister. She is very excited with her new purple Dora snow jacket. She picked it out and was tickled pink (or purple).
