Marvelous Monday
My dad has been visiting with Sheila for the last two days and we had lots of fun yesterday. It is just great to have some extra hands to get things done and give both your children lots of love and attention. My dad played with Savannah on her playscape and we went out for ice cream and to one of my favorite stores where there are lots of toys out for Savannah to play with. Then when Rich came home we went out to dinner to Japanese! Yum! Habatchi!
Here are some photos for now...

A Dino-myte Day!
Yesterday we had planned to go to the beach, but by the time we got up, out, moving, packed up, etc. we would have arrived around 3:30 or 4:00 p.m., so we decided to have a change of plans. Instead, we went to The Dinosaur Place. It is really amazing and far surpassed expectations. I have wanted to go for a long time, but did not know it was that extensive and has so much to do. It has a splashpad with sprinklers and water, a huge playground for all ages, trails to walk on where you can "see" dinosaurs, picnic grounds, two stores, a restaurant, a museum, and children's activities. It is fun and educational. Savannah has a great time and we stayed until they closed. When the kids get a little older I will get a season pass, since it is only about 35 minutes away.
After the Dino Place we picked up pizza and my dad and Sheila are here for the next two days. Yeah! Savannah was so excited to see them. Seth is doing awesome and is still sleeping at 9:00 a.m. Whoo Hoo! My good and long sleeper may be returning.

Seth's First Haircut at Rollarcoaster Cuts
Seth's hair has grown so fast and was well beyond his ears, so we were walking around West Hartford yesterday and found the BEST children's hair salon I have ever seen. It is a 6 Flags Theme with TV's, toys, hair accessories, dolls, stickers and more. I am definitely having Savannah's 4th birthday party there--you get glammed, make your own lip gloss and lotion and get a mini mani and pedi. How cute! They were SO nice and much more reasonable then where I have been going (where they are doing you a favor and aren't so nice). I will take the kids here from now on. I even thought it was fun and you get customer points towards merchandise or off 6 Flags tickets for how much you spend. So worth it!
Seth was just adorable. He did not cry and got his picture taken and a first haircut certificate. Of course, Savannah had to get her bangs cut too and couldn't be left out of the action. She also got a headband and princess wand. She LOVED it there and could have played all day and they were so nice to her. Then when we went to Whole Foods so many of the employees complimented her hair.

Our Big Baby Boy--4 Month Stats
Seth made a huge hit at the pediatricians office yesterday. Everyone thought he was so cute and they see a lot of babies. Our pediatrician said he wished he could just stand there and hug and cuddle him all day. They used to fuss over Savannah too. They are so nice there. Seth is so healthy and maturing and growing right on track. He has more than doubled his birth weight in 4 months. He is right in the middle of the growth chart and we are so glad to hear that. All you want is your child to be happy and healthy. Here are the stats:
Weight-- 15 lbs. 6 1/2 oz.-- 52%
Height-- 24 1/2 -- 50%
Head Circumference-- 17 cm -- 75% (this may be measurers error--seems a bit high)
He got his 2nd his vaccine series and it was the same two that he got at his two month visit, so just two and no reactions.
Seth continues to love his solid food and eat it like a champ. We tried sweet potato yesterday and it may be his favorite to date. You can see the smiles below.
