Welcome to Tokyo

From Disney and Dora
To a 13.5 hour flight without one tear
To Narita Airport
And her first ice cream cone (the only thing we could figure out what it was for sure).
Tokyo Tower from our apartment
Hard Rock Tokyo and one tired girl after a long flight and a 13 hour time difference.
On March 19th, during our Disney vacation, we received a call from our coordinator that a baby boy was born in Japan on March 12th that needs a forever family. His name is Yamato. Papers are signed, birthmother accepted us as his parents, and we need to fly to Tokyo on the 26th of March, arrive on the 27th, and receive him on the 28th. Joy! Shock! Love! All the emotions. We make arrangements from Florida, arrive back in CT on the 23rd of March and leave on Wednesday night the 25th to go to JFK and fly out at 11:30 a.m. and jet for 13.5 hours non-stop to Narita Airport. Then ride on a bus for 1.5 hours to Tokyo to the Intercontinental Hotel where then we need to take a cab to our home away from home for the next 28 days--the Oakwood Apartments. We were starving so we went to Hard Rock Cafe and Savannah crashed with the 13 hour time difference and losing a night. So, we all went back and went to sleep to get ready to meet our son/brother in less than 24 hours.
It was all worth it...
