Bottles and Teethers

I am going on my mother's instinct instead of any concrete evidence that this boy is teething. He is drooling like crazy and everything goes in his mouth. He is doing great though and taking one long nap a day and sleeping through the night with little interruptions. He loves to eat and is just an awesome baby. Today is a rainy, gloomy Sunday. What is important though is that it is going to be nice when we are away Wednesday through Sunday! Friday is Rich's birthday. We chose to go to Newport, Rhode Island and we are taking the ferry to Martha's Vineyard for a day. I may have found two mother's helpers for the Fall/Winter. My selfless friend Jen is sharing her babysitter with me two days a week and then one of the pharm reps Rich knows for years recommended his daughter and it sounds like she can come one day a week and then fill in when needed depending on her college schedule. What a relief. It will be so nice not to have to always drag Seth into the car to drop off and pick up Savannah from school.

Finally Photos and Lots of Them

We dug the USB port from the camera out to get the photos from the old camera. We have not taken the new one out of the box yet, but hopefully tomorrow we will. These are not all 129, but there are a lot for your viewing pleasure. I hope to blog a lot now with the new camera and it will take me a few day to post all the photos from the last few weeks without a functioning camera. But, I have to be able to leave the bathroom first... Potty training will have been on for 2 weeks tomorrow. It is going really well. She is doing an amazing job. We still wear pull ups at night and when we go out. But at home she has been near 100% for the last few days with telling me when she has to go and having less accidents. Today we had some setbacks, but that is to be expected. Patience is the key. I just want it to get to the point where she tells me when she has to go and that she will go in public. I bought the travel cushie seat, so hopefully that will help. We are leaving on Wednesday to got RI for 5 days and we will see how that goes. And then school will be the next major hurdle. My wise friends who have been there/done that tell me that less frequent trips to the bathroom just kind of happen and same with your child telling when they have to go and just trusting them. It is a challenge and a journey. So please know that I am not MIA if I have not been commenting on your blog. Just no computer access in the potty!

Seth is amazing and changing every day. He is growing up WAY too fast. I would like to keep him just like this. Aww baby sleeping with his burp cloth. He loves it almost as much as his Mommy.

Pool and Play

Yesterday was a beautiful and warm day so Savannah got to use her water table and pool. Hip, hip, hooray! She had a ball and went in it while Seth was sleeping so she had all the attention and fun! She had a great time and was blowing bubbles, swimming, and playing. Later in the day Savannah and Seth's grandma and grandpa came and Seth slept most of the time, so we brought in some dinner and Savannah colored and played with her new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Seth got up around the time we ate dinner and then we went out for dessert--YUM!

HIgh Chair Time

When we arrived in NJ last night after a 6 hour drive that should have taken three due to Friday summer traffic, heavy rain, heavy volume, road closures, accidents, and traffic, we decided to reward ourselves with some dessert. We put Seth in the high chair Savannah used to use for some fruit and he loved it. He was all comfy, ate his pears, and played with toys. He looks so small in it. Savannah was 8 months when she first used it (even though she wasn't much bigger than Seth is now). He loves his solid food. I whipped him up some fresh bananas and peaches this morning. Yum! Savannah is doing awesome on the potty. She was pretty much dry for the ride and she told me TWICE last night that she had to go poopy in the potty. That is a huge breakthrough. I think she will be just about trained by school, but I will probably put her in pull ups at first since it is a new environment and new people.
