I can't believe our little baby boy is 6 weeks. Time is going way too fast. We met him at 16 days and now he is 6 weeks and coming home in two days. Life is amazing.
Yesterday was a gorgeous day outside and we decided to go to Tokyo Dome City, home of the Tokyo Dome and the famous Tokyo Yomiuri Giants. Baseball is a huge national passtime and sport here. I would say second to the USA. Many of the best players from here go onto the USA to play baseball. I am happy becasue baseball is the only major league sport I like. We weanted to experience a game, but thought it was too much with both kids and they were not playing when Seth was away finishing up his paper work. The Giants are so popular though and it is hard to get tickets. They have played at theTokyo Dome since 1988. The Tokyo Dome is an air-supported dome. Air is constantly blown into the dome by a pressure fan, keeping the air pressure inside the dome some 0.3% higher than that outside, thus holding up its covering membrane. This pressure difference is equivalent to that between the 1st and 9th floor of a building and is hardly detectable by the human body. Furthermore, in order to minimize the loss of air from inside the dome, revolving doors are used for all exits and entrances. The stadium is not just a stadium though. It is a city with a 5 story mall, major luxury hotel, and an amusement park. There is also Starbucks in view (ha, ha--I have a Starbucks radar and find it everywhere we go--no hard in this city). It was so beautiful in Tokyo Dome City and I was so surprised and impressed. I did not expect it to have so much. We went to the official Giants store and got souvenirs, went up in the Tokyo Dome Hotel to the 43rd floor and got great views and had some ice cream, went to the mall, Savannah went on the Venus Lagoon Merry-go-Round, and went to the La Qua mall. Then we went to eat dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp. It was a fun-filled day!

Thunder Dome--we are not into thrill rides but these were amazing to watch
The Tokyo Dome Hotel towers at a height of 155 meters above the city, which includes 1,006 guest rooms, 10 restaurants & lounges, 18 small to large banquet rooms. two distinctive chapels and other wedding facilities, a business center, a child care room, and an outdoor pool.
This is one of the big attractions, but I did not want to go on it with the kids in case they did not like it and then we were stuck. It is very slow and for a scenic view. It is called the Big O. The world's first center-less Ferris wheel, it appears to be a giant doughnut floating in the air.
Savannah was not sure about the rollar coaster whipping around and the noise. An exciting hyper-roller-coaster offering a thrill-packed ride right through the center-less Ferris wheel along with an impressive view.

Tokyo Dome is the franchise stadium for the Yomiuri Giants, hosting More than 60 games yearly. It is also one of the leading stadiums in the world, having hosted Japanese-American baseball games, and the first MLB opening match held outside America (Mets vs Cubs) in the year 2000.

We were at the La Qua mall and one of the stores had a play area and Savannah loved it.
An all girl toy store with dolls, kitchen, jewelry, dolls, etc. She had so much fun while mommy shopped. She organized the whole store.
