Best Big Sister to Loveable Little Brother

Over the past day or two Savannah has showed a lot more interest in her brother and his care. The other day she woke up and Seth was already dressed and when she saw him she said, Awww, Cute." Then after his bath the other night she covered him with a blanket, rocked him, and rubbed his back. She was rubbing his back a lot yesterday and she will give him kisses on his head and say good night to him. She still gets upset when he cries, but tries to soothe him now. She likes to shake his bottle and check the temperature on her arm. She will also tell you if he needs a diaper change. She loves to smell him and tell you, "Stinks or No." I think this may help with her potty training too. She says she loves him and wants to take him back to CT with us to live in our house and be part of our family. It is so sweet and precious. Nothing warms your heart more as a parent. We did not do too much after the Embassy yesterday. We went to Wolfgang Puck for lunch, then to Starbucks and the Organic Market. Savannah got lemon sorbet. She was such a good girl all day yesterday that she could have a treat. Then we went to this store to get a new suitcase since the airline destroyed ours. We decided to have dinner in and made whole wheat spaghetti and chicken and veggies and just hung out with our kids. Sometimes doing nothing is more something than going out to a big something. We all just wanted a quiet night to enjoy being a family. Tomorrow we go back to the Embassy at 9:30 a.m. for our interview and visa. Rich took Seth to the Embassy doctor today for his medcial to enter the USA. Then we will have three more days in Japan to just enjoy and do and see whatever we can before we head home.
Happy Boy hanging out last night. His newborn size pj's fit--yeah! Look at that face!
Hi Handsome!
Savannah asked to feed the baby. She was ready to walk away, but I grabbed a quick photo and it is Rich who is beaming.
She is saying, "Awww" as she rubs his back. If he is crying she says shhhh and calm down.
She rubs his back and rocks him too.
He was so peaceful after Savannah gave him some love and nurturing.
Hey Beautiful Big Sister
Sound asleep
She is rocking the swing
I love the way she is watching him
She sat here awhile watching him sleep. She adjusts the level of the music on the side of the swing too.
A soft back rub and night, night from your sister.
Wait, you can't sleep without your blanket. Thanks for remembered Savannah.
