DisneySea is a Must See in Tokyo

Okada-San came to pick up Seth and he is getting his passport today. Yeah! We are going to the Embassy 1 week from yesterday. Okada-San is the sweetest person. If there was anyone I would trust to watch him, it would be her. I love our adoption family here in Japan. Even though there is a language barrier, Okada-San is the sweetest and warmest person. She is always happy and upbeat when you see her. Again, she brought Savannah a whole bag of goodies--toys and snacks. She brought her a toy that plays musical songs and you can set it to play different percussion instruments and it has drum sticks. She loves it. She also gave her a Winnie the Pooh sippy cup and she held onto it all day at Disney as as prized possession. We all absolutely LOVED DisneySea. It may be my new favofrite Disney park. I had read on the Internet that this park is like no other and it has attraction like no other Disney park. The closest thing it is like is Epcot, but it isn't identical. The crowd level was perfect. We could comfortably walk around and get on rides and attractions. It is set up in "ports." You feel like you are going through different areas of the world. It is all around a lagoon. We got to go to two shows, many playgrounds, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Sinbad's Adventure, a two story merry go round, tea cups, a jelly fish balloon ride, and a train ride. She even got to see Mickey, Minnie, and the Alladin characters. When we arrived the water and fire show around the lagoon ws going on. Savannah liked it until the fireworks. She still doesn't like fireworks. She had me pick her up and she hid her eyes and we had to go into a store. They canceled the evening fireworks due to heavy wind, so that was good thing for Savannah, because Rich would have to watch it and we would have had to go shopping. The wind was very strong and it go very cold and now we all have matching sweatshirts. Savannah was so excited that we all matched and kept saying, "Nanah's shirt, Mama's shirt, and Dada's shirt." We went to dinner in "Venice" and Savannah had--PIZZA. We visted the Miracosta Hotel on the grounds of the DisneySea (it is built into the park) and the Ambassdor Hotel in the Ikspari Shopping Area. We ended the night with sorbet. Yum! We missed Seth terribly, but had the best day we could and Savannah had a smile from ear to ear (no Mickey pun intended). A few more Savannah things of the day... 1. She no longer calls every body of water a pool. She clearly called the water at the park a lagoon. 2. When we step on the subway, she says we are going to "Roppongi" (the area we are staying) clear as a bell. Every stop before ours she says, "Roppongi, no." When she hears them announce Roppongi she says, "Yes." Shows she is paying attention. 3. The subway is filled with steps, so she either has to walk, be carried, or be carried up in her stroller. I guess for the past two weeks we have been saying, "More steps," since it isn't easy with a stroller and two children. So now yesterday everytime we came to steps she said, "Oh no. More steps." 4. When Rich goes to buy the train tickets she says, "Train, pay, tickets." When we went to the ATM she said the same thing. Good association. It looks the same. Especially if you are in the train station. 5. She looks out our window of our room, points, and says, "Starbucks." Every morning she says, "Dada, Starbucks."

Lost River Delta Port--Indiana Jones-thrill ride--we did not go on. I don't like thrill rides and Daddy gets motion sickness.

Ariel's Grotto--All rides geared for young childen inside and outside with a play area and a show, but unfortunately the show was off season. I guess they are creating a new one.

This is a two story Alladin themed merry go round and Savannah had to hold on and ride herself because they wouldn't let Mommy stand next to her. Mommy had to ride too and Savannah was tickled pink and kept laughing. She held on and even waved to daddy.

Venice--where we ate dinner and wanted to do a gondola ride, but they were not running (it was probably too close to fireworks time and then they couldn't do the fireworks). Bye, bye Disney Sea. We had a wonderful time.
