We had a very busy week and weekend. Savannah returned to school yesterday and I was very happy to see her holding hands with another little girl in her class (there are only 3 girls). She now says, "Aubee (Aubrey) me friend." Her school is already having a fundraiser and selling Yankee Candles. I have a Scholastic Book Order form and had to make an "All About Me" page for the class book (not about me, about Savannah). I got obsessed while working on it and before I knew it, it was 1:30 a.m. The latte I had from Starbucks at 5:00 p.m. probaly helped that too. I took a picture of it. I started with a map of Guatemala, flags from Guatemala, Japan and the USA along with pictures of Guatemala and Japan and some of the places we have traveled and her favorite foods, characters, animals, things to do, etc. and went all the way to current day. When Rich saw it he said I need to go back to teaching because I have all this talent. He did not think everyone's "All About Me" page would be like Savannah's is. I really like the other parents at her school that I chat with while waiting for dissmissal. They are very warm and friendly. It is a nice community.
Seth is sleeping great in his crib. He slept from 11:30 p.m. to 9:30a.m. yesterday and last night he fell asleep a little before 10 and woke up at 7:40 a.m. I did not wake up to crying, but he turned both his rainforest and Elmo crib toys on and I heard music on the monitor. He is doing very well with self-soothing too. He can put himself back to sleep in most instances. I only let him "try" for 15 minutes. I am not a fan or a believer in "cry it out." It NEVER worked with Savannah and Seth has cried for a 2 hour ride in the car and not fallen asleep.
He is able to grab with both hands now and can pick up smaller objects and control them. He should have his pincer grasp soon and be able to have Cheerios. He can almost hold his bottle and get it back in his mouth. It is heavy and large though. He is loving all his fruits and cereal, but is not a veggie fan. I tried to give him a spinach and potatoe mix and he all but spit it back at me. Except for sweet potatoes and carrots, he is not a veggie boy yet. No greens. Savannah never liked cereal, but he eats cereal like it is going out of style (with fruit in it). He really likes texture in his food and does better with lumpy and chunky than runny and smooth.
Our babysitter is working out great. I got to take Savannah to speech without Seth and she spoke so much and is really accelerating. Seth got to nap and did not have to be dragged to school and speech and I got to run a few errands after speech. It is amazing. What I used to think was hard to do with one, is now a piece of cake with one, but near impossible with two. It is funny how your perspective changes. But, Savannah is so much more independent now and can walk, get in and out of her car seat, etc. Savannah also loves our babysitter and actually got jealous when she held Seth and wanted me to hold Seth and Stephanie to continue to play with her. I think she thinks Stephanie is here to play with her, so she shouldn't hold Seth.
Some random photos off the cell phone from the last few weeks....there are a lot and they are in no particular order because they are all jumbled on the photo program and I just upload them as I see ones that are cute.

You guys sound like us running all around. Elmo or as Ava calls him "Melmo" is also a big hit around here. I love the pics of the Book Barn. Looks like such a cute place!
