The morning we arrived in Copenhagen, the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day.  About three in the afternoon that all changed and it started raining and then pouring.  We started the day off the ship about 8:30 a.m. and went on the Royal Copenhagen tour where we went to the Royal Palace and two castles.  We toured each for an hour seeing the tapestries and the jewels.  Seth slept the entire time.  Then we checked into our hotel and went out exploring on the Strogoff, the busiest and longest shopping district in all of Europe.  It had a lot of commercialized stores and some unique ones too.  We walked down to old town and Nyvan Canal and the medieval district.  We had lunch on the canal at an Italian restaurant and that is where it started to rain.  The rain stopped and we decided to take a canal tour.  The tour was wonderful, except it started pouring.  We still got to see a lot of nice things and go under the bridge/tunnels which is so classic of Copenhagen.  Afterwards we had dinner at Hard Rock Cafe.  It was so crowded and the wait was very long, but Seth was sleeping, so it was ok.

Rich's birthday was also a wash out.  We walked around the city some more and went through some of the nooks and crannies and down less crowded streets.  We did some nice boutique shopping and Rich and Savannah climbed the Round Tower.  The night had such hard rain and thunder that we celebrated his birthday by eating in the hotel restaurant.  Our only nice weather day was Friday when we went to Tivoli Gardens, which was the highlight of our visit to Denmark.
