Our Day in Gothenburg, Sweden

Come into Gothenburg

This is the way to travel
We are here and I dropped my breakfast!  I was enjoying it on the balcony.
 Peek a boo
The port.  Seth loved all the trucks and cargo
Ready for our day at Liseberg Park
Waiting for our tour to depart
It wasn't very crowded so the kids could play in the rows of chairs
 Helping Seth walk
The clouds cleared and we had a beautiful day at the oldest amusement park in Sweden
The grounds and gardens were gorgeous
 Entering the park
About to walk through the botanical garden
 Enjoying the fountain
Up at the top of the park (there were a lot of stone steps)
Seth is up and enjoying the fountain too
Many gardens, parks, and beautiful lanscaping amoungst the rides
 Another example
 Liseberg
You could find many quality restaurants in the park with beautiful views
 Characters walking the park
The drum ride, like the teacups
Liseberg came for a visit and a photo.  I think a Liseberg is a rabbit in Swedish
The favorite ride no matter where we are, what we do, etc.
 Seth is tentative on rides
Not a smile to be had
Savannah on the bumper crs for the first time by herself
This may be the only time Daddy lets her drive
 She can also drive here
Daddy and Savannah boarding the flying elephants
Rich usually sits these rides out, but Seth was sleeping on me
Beautiful girl in a beautiful place
Leaving Sweden and heading for Norway
The port of Gothenburg with the bridge in the background.  Only Seth like the view of the trucks and top loaders.
Daddy and Seth out for a run while Mommy and Savannah enjoy the views leaving Gothenburg
 Sweetie leaving Sweden
 Farewell to Sweden
Last views of Sweden before we get ready for dinner.

On Day 3 of the cruise we arrived in Gothenburg, Sweden.  Unfortunately the dock where we were situated was a 20-30 minute shuttle ride into town and we had a tour to Liseberg Amusement Park at 12:00 p.m.  So, we did not have enough time to take the shuttle and make it back for our tour or to go into town after our day at the park.  So, we did not get to see the downtown.  We got to see Liseberg which was beautiful.  It is the oldest amusement park and most visited attrraction in Sweden.  The sun was shining and we had a wonderful day.   It was VERY crowded though (surprising for a Tuesday) and the lines were long for the rides and we had limited time.  So, it was super fun, but too short.  Savannah got to go on half a dozen rides and we enjoyed walking around and soaking up some sunshine after many days of rain.  I truly love Sweden, the people, the places and the cities and want to go back and spend more time.

  1. The park sure looks beautiful with all of the flowers and fountains! So happy that it cleared up and you were able absorb a few sunshine rays :)
As always the kids look adorable!
