Good Morning Oslo--very early. About 7:30 a.m.
Can tell we will love this city
Imagine if the weather was nice
Downtown in the distance
The Harbour
On our tour
Entering the sculpture garden in the rain with two sleeping cuties
Fast asleep
This was such a beautiful park and the tour guide said on a nice day there are hundreds of people having picnics, playing frisbee, on the playground, etc. It was the nicest playground and if Savannah was up and it wasn't pouring rain, we would have spent the entire stop on the playground
Sculpture Garden
Very interesting sculptures only found here in Norway since the artist was commissioned to only sell and display his work in Norway
The tour guide said this is the most popular statue. It has been stolen and recovered many times and several times it is found in the morning dressed.
The fountains were beautiful even in the rain
Such a beautiful square
Rich and two sleeping children at the sculpture garden
Overview of the park
I waited at the bottom since the stroller with two kids couldn't get up the steps. I won't travel with the big double stroller again even though it was necessary when they were both sleeping.
I like this sculpture The sculptures were all of people in all different stages of life
Raining at the sculpture park
A momentary reprieve from the rain
Ski jump from the 1952 Olympics in Oslo. It is being renovated for the 2011 International Ski Jump Championships.
The ski jump looks scary to me
Holmenkollen Ski Jump
Rich loves to ski and Oslo is so active with hiking, skiing and biking.
The construction is almost complete
I don't know how people do this
Savannah and Rich went up to the top. I went in the gift shop with sleeping Seth.
This is a statue of the person the ski jump is named after.
City Hall. Savannah was cold at the ski jump so she picked out a pink winter hat that says Norway
Love the architecture

Sailing through Norway
Day 4 in Oslo was a soaker, but we didn't let it put a damper on it. Oslo is a beautiful city and we really enjoyed our short visit. We did a tour of the Highlights of Oslo which went to a famous sculpture garden and the 1952 Olympic Ski Jump. We also got a city tour. The kids slept during the entire tour, so we could listen and get some history. After the tour we had two hours to explore the downtown in the rain. We ate at Hard Rock Cafe and then went through a park and walked around the harbour. We also stopped at a great coffee shop and got espresso and the kids got yummy treats. Then we went back on the ship to sail through the breathtaking fjords or Norway, but unfortunately it was so rainy and foggy we could not appreciate all the beauty, but you could still see the splendour. We would definitely like to visit Norway again on a sunny day. It is a very friendly city with lots to offer for sports enthusiasts and families alike. The people were very warm and friendly.

What an amazing trip! I love love love all the photos! Even with the rain, I bet you all had a great time together. Happy belated birthday Rich!
