Almost Mobile and Other Happenings
Seth is ALMOST crawling. He gets up on his knees and his chest is off the ground and he wiggles and moves one knee up but won't move his hands. He can get around though with his military crawl. You put him in one spot and turn around and he is on the other side of the play mat. He is SO proud of himself. Daddy doesn't have long to get that play zone set up because soon there will be no stopping him from wherever he wants to go.
Savannah had a really good week at school. I think the two weeks off did her good and I think her teacher is understanding her better and I get daily reports. They say she is friendly, engaged, and happy. She made some really nice art projects and a beaded necklace that they said she made with a friend. So, we are still not sure what to do about changing her school. She is still crying when I pick her up, but her teacher says she doesn't know why. I think it is because the playground is the last thing they do and she doesn't want to come in and then she sees me waiting for her and then she has to go back into her classroom to sing the good bye song and that is when she starts crying. She also had her last swimming lesson and starting Kitchen Konnection, her toddler cooking class today. She made chocolate chip cookies and chocolate pudding and then they put cool whip on top and chocolate chips for eyes to look like a ghost. Of course, Savannah did not eat it and when they gave her milk to drink I was so proud of her that she said, "I can't drink that." I told the instructor that she has a lactose intolerance, but she said she forgot and gave her milk. Savannah is so smart and knows she has to have soy milk. She always orders soy milk at Starbucks and I guess after a year of me telling her she can't have milk and has to have soy milk it sunk in.
Over the weekend we went to a Halloween Hoot at the local elementry school sponsered by the preschool Savannah will most likely go to in September, unless I change her in school in January. It was a wonderfully run event and Savannah had a BALL! Then Sunday was a gorgeous Fall day and we went to the Pumpkin Patch and trick-or-treating at the mall. My dad and Sheila were here, so it was extra fun and special and nice to have extra adult hands to help who the kids love. I will post those photos later or tomorrow in another post.

ReplyDeleteSavannah is such a good big sister - before long she'll be wishing Seth wasn't crawling and getting into her toys - LOL!
How cute that they have a cooking class for toddlers.
Seth is so close! What a little cutie in his pj's :) Looks like everyone is happy.
