Cousins
We have the distinct pleasure of having our wonderful, beautiful, terrific nieces at our house for a few days. Savannah is LOVING the attention from her big cousins. It is fun to have two big girls for cousins--11 and 9 years old than you. When I see her interact with them, I think how she would have loved a big sister. But, that is what fun first cousins are for. We wish we lived closer to them. When Caroline was a baby we lived close by and saw her a lot, but since we moved we don't get to see them too often being 6 hours away. I hope my children grow up to be such sweet and respectful teenagers and are SO close. Even though we have enough room for them to each have their own room (since Savannah nor Seth sleep in their own room), they chose to stay together. They are sisters and best friends and it is precious.
Yesterday was very hot, humid and rainy. The girls love to read, so we took them to the Niantic Book Barn which is a huge indoor/outdoor market of used books. They have so many and you can get them really inexpensive. Then we went for Italian food for late lunch/early dinner. After that we went to Borders (to get Caroline 1984 for school) and for ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery. Yum! Then we made it home just in time before a HUGE thunderstorm. We were even under a tornado watch, but that was canceled. The sky looked ominous though.
Now Rich is on call and had 10 patients to round on and left at 5:00 a.m. The beeper went off a lot last night. Seth was up at 5:45 a.m., but went back to sleep at 7:15 a.m. and is still sleeping, but Savannah just had a night terror and isn't falling back to sleep. She will need a nap later.

How sweet! Your nieces look like great cousins, and that's really sweet that they're still close, so often when they're sisters they don't like each other during these years ;o)
